If I lived in CA, I’d vote for you. I do donate to your campaign. I hope you can win but since corporate DNC seems to be supporting Adam Schiff, I fear we will lose you from the national stage since both your current office & senate office are same election, right?

Your reasons for Senate run make sense and are the reasons I would expect from someone who actually works for her constituents.

As a citizen of OC I am concerned that our county will be flipped red. If you do win a seat that is guaranteed to be blue and leave your county that will most likely flip red …then what ? What will get to you in the senate if it can’t pass the house.

Then you all in that district need to actively campaign, support, and VOTE for the Democrat. All of us all over the country need to fight Republicans tooth-and-nail.

This is my concern too! Is there anyone lined up who can win the seat?

Happy belated birthday!

Love you and your whiteboard!

My kids are beyond college now, but just thinking about the FAFSA forms still makes my blood pressure rise!

Thank you for all you do 👏👏👏

Can the courts take the company away from Murdoch, nationalize it, cannibalize it, dissolve it, put the funds from the sale of it's assets into NPR? It sounds rather autocratic. Who can tell us?

Happy 50th birthday, Katie! I appreciate your passion and dedication. I am in Illinois and have voted all along the political spectrum in my 37 years of eligible voting--I identify as an Independent and as an independent thinker. Keep up the great work of educating citizens, both on--and beyond--the whiteboard, and for persevering amidst some really sketchy characters. While I don't agree with you 100% of the time, I am convinced that Congress (and the Senate) needs more earnest, hard-working people such as yourself.

I'm a fan of Katie, but the most pressing issues aren't consumer protection, corporate oversight, political campaign finance reform, agricultural, etc. that Katie campaigns on. Nothing else matters if the Party of Trump is allowed to gain more control and grow its campaign of lies and abuse of power. Katie is trying to win some Trumpanzees (and so this post will likely be censored) by being mostly silent about the danger of the PoT, but I don't want any appeasement of proto-Nazis; the Democrat senate candidate from CA will win without confusing a few of them into voting Blue. Adam Schiff directly takes on the danger of the PoT, and he valiantly led the 1st Trump impeachment through the PoT wall of lies and malfeasance. He is the intellectual warrior we need in the Senate to combat the PoT. As another person commented below, to run against Adam while resigning the 47th Congressional District seat--which may fall into PoT hands--is not in the best interest of CA or the country. Ambition is not always a virtue.
