What is your view of the Alaska Airlines merger with Hawaiian Airlines? While I like Alaska airlines, I love and prefer Hawaiian. I would hate for what makes
Thank you Katie! Everyone except Ted Cruz knows it isn't just Southwest Airlines squeezing us. Voting with our feet to solve the problem means we either walk wherever we are going or (if able) we drive - unless we need to go to Europe. The days of the transatlantic liner as a commute vehicle are numbered. There is only one such ocean liner left in the world and she can only serve 2400 people per trip for a 7 day journey. Nice as it may be it doesn't work well with the demands of modern life.
A little over one year ago I was settling into my seat on an Alaska Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Portland. I paid extra for an EXIT seat so that I would have enough leg room. There was plenty of room to get into my seat and after settling I looked for the EXIT and but did not find one in my aisle. Weird.
A week or so after that the door plug incident took place on a different Alaska flight from LA to Portland. I watched as much of the coverage of the incident as I could. It became clear that the Airline had dispensed with EXIT doors on the plane to save weight and money. My initial reaction to learning of the door plug practice was, disappointingly, unsurprised. Next I wondered why anyone would sacrifice an emergency exit for a few dollars.
Weight. The airline already charged more for the seat.
I have not heard your views about the recent and current situation in Israel/Palestine. I've checked that out on your website, and I can find nothing about this. What are your thoughts?

Hawaiian Airlines unique fade away and disappear!
